Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin says the All Progressives Congress (APC) will reclaim Kano state from the control of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
Gatekeepers News reports that Jibrin said this when a delegation of the Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen (ALGOVC) in Kano visited him at his office in Abuja.
Jibrin said he is hopeful that the tribunal will rule in favour of the APC.
“We are praying and hopeful that the outcome of the tribunal will be favourable to us,” Ismail Mudashir, his spokesperson, quoted him as saying.
“Everything is in God’s hands. Let us be united and work together. By God’s grace, it’s a matter of time, we will bounce back in Kano state.
“As it is now, we are in the opposition and as such there are a lot of expectations from us. We should be united and work together in the interest of our party.”
The deputy senate president said the local government is crucial in delivering development to the people.
