Vice President Kashim Shettima, on Thursday, chaired the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja.
Gatekeepers News reports that the meeting taking place at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja has in attendance Governors from all over the Federation as well as other stakeholders
The meeting is expected to tackle crucial economic issues in the nation stemming from the removal of petrol subsidy. Additionally, discussions will encompass the security challenges prevailing across the country, particularly focusing on recent attacks in northern regions.

The NEC meeting follows roughly 24 hours after the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited revealed securing a $3 billion Emergency Crude Repayment Loan from the African Export-Import Bank (AFREXIM) Bank.
