Jane Dolapo Balogun, the mother of Wizkid, the award-winning Nigerian singer, has passed away.
Gatekeepers News reports that Sunday Are, Wizkid’s longtime manager, confirmed to ThePunch that Jane died in the early hours of Friday.
Born Ayo Balogun on July 16, 1990 in Surulere, Wizkid grew up in a polygamous home with a Muslim father and a Christian mother.
In a 2012 radio interview with Tim Westwood, Wizkid confirmed that Muniru Olatunji Balogun, his father, has three wives.
The late Balogun is the mother to two other children, Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun.
