Lagos S*xual Violence Agency Condemns Seyi Awolowo For Misogynistic Remarks

Lagos State Domestic and S*xual Violence Agency (DSVA) has expressed strong disapproval of misogynistic comments made by a Big Brother Naija All Stars Housemate, Seyi Awolowo.

Gatekeepers News reports that Seyi is a Nigerian entrepreneur, reality TV star, actor, model, and also the great-grandson of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who was a Premier of the old Western Region.

During a discussion with fellow housemates in the ongoing #BBNaijaAllStars, Seyi said he would encourage his sons to “run train on” people’s daughters.

The DSVA stated its condemnation of such remarks, highlighting their contribution to perpetuating damaging attitudes and fostering a culture of violence and abuse.

The phrase ‘train run on’ someone is a vulgar and offensive slang that refers to a s*xual act where multiple people have s*x with a woman in quick succession or to have s*x with someone as a line going one after the other.

In a statement on Sunday, the Lagos DSVA said, “We strongly condemn the comments made by Seyi Awolowo in the disturbing video that has surfaced. Such remarks perpetuate harmful attitudes and contribute to a culture of violence and abuse.

“The bystanders’ passive response in the video is also deeply concerning because it only enables such behavior to persist. It is important for us all to actively speak up in circumstances such as this.

“We remain committed to addressing issues of domestic and s*xual violence. Call our 24/7 Toll Free Line at – 08000 333 333 to make a report and access support.
