Darwin Nunez showcased his brilliance by scoring two late goals to orchestrate a stunning comeback for 10-man Liverpool, securing a 2-1 triumph over Newcastle in their English Premier League (EPL) clash at St. James’ Park on Sunday.

Gatekeepers News reports that Newcastle took the lead in the first half through Anthony Gordon’s strike against Liverpool, who had Virgil van Dijk sent off for denying Alexander Isak a goal-scoring opportunity.

Jurgen Klopp’s strategic changes in the second half paid off when Nunez struck a low shot into the bottom corner on the 80th minute, equalizing the scoreline. He continued his heroics by finding the net again in stoppage time, sealing the victory for Liverpool.

With seven points from three matches, Liverpool maintains their undefeated start to the season, while Newcastle suffers consecutive league defeats.

In another fixture, Manchester City extended their flawless season start with a 2-1 win over Sheffield United, powered by Rodri’s stunning 88th-minute goal.

Despite Erling Haaland’s missed first-half penalty, he later headed the champions into the lead after an hour of play. Sheffield United briefly leveled the score five minutes before the end, but Rodri’s late strike secured victory for Manchester City.
