Trump’s Campaign Raises $7.1 Million Following Mugshot Release

Donald Trump’s campaign team has reported that they have collected $7.1 million in donations after the public release of the former US president’s mugshot.

Gatekeepers News reports that Trump created history by becoming the first former US president to have a mugshot after his release from jail on Thursday.

He shared the photo on X, as well as on Truth Social, his personal social media platform, along with the caption: “Election interference. Never surrender.”

The Republican surrendered to the Fulton County jail in Atlanta facing more than a dozen charges related to his attempts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results and his alleged involvement in the notorious Capitol riot.

The campaign disclosed that Trump managed to raise $4.18 million on Friday alone, which is the highest amount raised in a 24-hour period thus far.

A substantial portion of the funds reportedly came from the sale of merchandise through their online stores, including items like mugs, T-shirts, and drink coolers featuring the mugshot image of the former president.

Additionally, the campaign has been actively requesting donations from supporters through emails and text messages.
