Nigerian Comedian, AY Makun has begun to rebuild his Lagos home which was recently gutted by fire.
Gatekeepers News reports that on August 7, news emerged about a fire outbreak at AY Makun’s Lekki mansion. In a viral video, firefighters were captured attempting to salvage what little remained of the home, which had been reduced to rubble.
Following the fire incident, AY Makun indicated that he and his family were safe outside the country, though he did not explicitly confirm or deny the reports.
Grace Makun, AY’s sister-in-law, also shared a video that depicted the aftermath of the fire at the comedian’s Lagos residence.
Speaking about the incident for the first time on Saturday, AY Makun revealed that he only had the belongings he had traveled with before the fire occurred. He characterized the fire incident as an “adversity” that would serve as a “stepping stone to greatness.”
