Tinubu Presides Over First FEC Meeting  

President Bola Tinubu is currently leading the inaugural Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting of his administration at the State House in Abuja.

Gatekeepers News reports that following the inauguration of 45 ministers on August 21, the president tasked them with contributing to the realization of his administration’s “renewed hope” agenda.

The president emphasised the importance of integrity and effective service delivery. The FEC meeting began with the national anthem and pledge, and the press has been requested to leave the hall.

Also attending the FEC meeting are Vice President Kashim Shettima; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; the Head of the Civil Service of the federation, Dr (Mrs) Folashade Yemi-Esan and the Chief of Staff to the President president, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.

This is coming a week after the President inaugurated the new cabinet members. Out of the 48 ministers nominated, three, including Nasir el-Rufai, were not confirmed by the senate due to security clearance issues.
