Former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu on Wednesday, turned down an offer by Max Air flight attendant to seat on any unoccupied Business Class seat on the commercial flight enroute Maiduguri from Abuja.
Gatekeepers News reports that Magu, dressed in his usual white caftan with a white cap to match, had obviously booked an economy class seat on flight VM1622 but was approached to take a more comfortable business class seat which he rejected.
As Magu walked into the aircraft, he was almost immediately approached by one of the Max air flight attendants who pleaded with him to take the business class seat.
“Sir you can seat on any of these seats ( referring to business class seats ) it’s a courtesy from us ),” the flight attendant had said.
The attendant made another attempt to persuade Magu to accept the offer but all plea fell on deaf ears.
Mugu while listening to the attendant politely turned down the offer made his way to his economy class seat 6
“No, thank you, I will go to my seat,” Magu politely told the attendant.
The Max Air flight which was initially scheduled to take off by 11:20am left Abuja past 12 noon with a little above half – full passengers and all unoccupied business seats.
