Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, PEPT, has declared All Progressives Congress, APC’s cross-petition challenging Peter Obi’s membership of the Labour Party, LP as incompetent.
Gatekeepers News reports that Justice Abba Mohammed, while reading the judgement said membership in a political party is an internal affair.
The court also faults the respondents’ objection which faulted Obi and LP’s petition on the grounds that it failed to join Atiku Abubakar, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who came second in the election.
The PEPT is set to deliver judgement today.
Meanwhile, security is already beefed up ahead of the verdict.
