Super Falcons Goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie saved two penalties to lead Paris FC to the final qualifying round in UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) .
Gatekeepers News reports that the Nigerian Goalkeeper came through for her team against Arsenal in their 4-2 victory during the tournament’s second qualifying round match on Saturday in London.
Paris took a two-goal lead early in the second half but Arsenal equalised with two late strikes as the game ended 2-2 at the 90mins regular time.
During extra time, both sides scored a goal to end the tie 3-3, ultimately leading to a penalty shootout to decide the winner.
Nnadozie’s saves made her the hero for the underdogs, Paris FC sending them to the final qualifying round, with a chance for a place in the group stage.
It is the first time Arsenal Women have been removed from the competition in the qualifying round with their previous worst record being the quarter-finals stage.
