Nigerian sprinter Tobi Amusan has secured her third Diamond League trophy in the Women’s 100m Hurdles, with a time of 12.33 seconds.
Gatekeepers News reports that she achieved this victory on Sunday at the Diamond League Prefontaine Classic held at Hayward Field marking her third consecutive victory in the same category at the League.
Amusan had a strong start and maintained her lead throughout, displaying determination as she cleared the final hurdles and finished with an impressive season-best time of 12.33 seconds.
Puerto Rican, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn came in second with a time of 12.38, and Keni Harrison from the United States took third place with a time of 12.44. The world champion, Danielle Williams from Jamaica, finished fourth with a time of 12.47.
After a disappointing performance in Budapest, Amusan made a strong comeback and created history as only the second woman in Diamond League history to win three consecutive 100m hurdles titles.
