Israel Vows To Punish Hamas For ‘War Crime’

Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have labeled the recent attack by the Palestinian ‘Hamas’ group on Israel as a war crime.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a video posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the IDF’s spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, strongly condemned Hamas for taking women and children captive during the conflict.

Hagari stated, “Hamas’ brutal attack is a war crime. Taking women and children captive violates international law and goes against the principles of Islam.”

He further warned, “Whoever took part in these actions will face consequences. The road ahead is difficult and challenging, but the IDF is strong and will employ its full strength and power.”

The ongoing conflict has resulted in casualties on both sides. Israel’s Foreign Ministry has reported over 200 Israelis killed, while the Palestinian Ministry of Health has recorded at least 256 deaths in Gaza due to Israeli airstrikes.

The IDF had previously declared “a state of alert for war” following the initial attack by Hamas.
