The Senate has asked the Federal Government of Nigeria to immortalise the designer of the national flag, Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi.
Gatekeepers News reports that that Akinkunmi died in Ibadan on August 29, 2023.
Sharafadeen Abiodun, a senator representing Oyo South, moved the motion on Tuesday and the lawmakers observed a minute silence for the deceased.
They also called on the Federal Government to conduct a state burial in his honour for his befitting role in the design of the national flag.
