Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa has opened up on how her parents died in a fire accident when she was a kid, adding that the incident remained her biggest fear.
Gatekeepers News reports that Toke disclosed this on the latest episode of her podcast when she hosted comedian AY (Ayo Makun).
Toke Makinwa, shared her experience while asking the comedian about the fire incident at his Lagos residence in August 2023.
She said, “I’ve been a victim of a house fire when I was a kid and unfortunately both my parents died as a result of that. That’s one of my biggest fears.
AY responded: “Sorry about that. I’m just hearing this for the first time.”
“I woke up to about 78 missed calls on the day of the incident. And I opened my phone and saw my house on Instablog.
“The fact that my family was on holiday, was my point of Thanksgiving.”
