Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, South-South Nigeria has presented the 2024 Appropriation Bill to the state House of Assembly.
Gatekeepers News reports that Fubara made the presentation on Wednesday during a plenary consisting five members of the house loyal to him.
The development is coming hours after the state government commenced the demolition of the House of Assembly complex.
On Monday, 27 members of the House who are loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former governor of the state, Nyesom Wike had dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The 27 lawmakers were absent when the governor presented the budget on Wednesday.
