Fire Guts TCN Substation In Lagos

Fire broke out at a Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) power substation in Maryland, Lagos State, on Saturday night.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, confirmed that the fire was extinguished by the Ilupeju Fire Crew.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported, and an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway, along with assessing the extent of valuables affected.

“The fire that erupted at the Transmission Company of Nigeria power substation at Maryland Junction, Maryland, at about 20:06 hours has been put out by the gallantry crew of the Ilupeju Fire Crew of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.

“No casualties were recorded as an investigation into the cause of the fire and the enumeration of valuables affected is ongoing,” Adeseye said.
