Nigerian San Antonio Man Osazee Uwagbae Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Wife

Osazee Uwagbae, a Nigerian San Antonio man has been arrested and accused of sexually assaulting his wife.

Gatekeepers News reports that Uwagbae, who recently got certified in Cybersecurity from Southern New Hampshire University, faces felony charges after police say he sexually assaulted his wife on several occasions.

The 34-year-old faces a charge of sexual assault, a second-degree felony, and a charge of assault against a family member, a third-degree felony.

According to an arrest affidavit, his wife, whose name is not being published due to the nature of the allegations, told San Antonio police on Dec. 4 that her husband had forced her to have sexual intercourse with him “multiple times.”

The 38-year-old woman was interviewed again on Dec. 14 and told investigators she had been married to Uwagbae for about six months.

According to the affidavit, she told police that Uwagbae thought he was entitled to sex with her whenever he wanted and that she did not have the right to say no.

The woman told police that months before the alleged assault, she found out Uwagbae had been unfaithful, so she stopped having sex with him.

The woman further police that she returned home from work on Oct. 18 when Uwagbae attempted to coerce her into sex. When she said no, Uwagbae “aggressively grabbed” her and forced her onto a bed, according to the arrest affidavit. He then began to sexually assault her while placing his forearm on her neck, which impeded her breathing, according to the affidavit.

She told investigators that Uwagbae removed his forearm from her neck and used his hands to pin her arms down as he continued the assault.

The woman said she didn’t report her husband earlier because he threatened to say their marriage was only for her to gain citizenship, which he claimed could get her deported.

According to the arrest affidavit, both are immigrants from Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Uwagbae was booked on Thursday, and his bail is set at $125,000.
