A truck has again damaged a height barrier at Ojuelegba in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria on Saturday.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA disclosed this on its X handle on Saturday.
The post read, “The Ojuelegba Bridge barrier has been destroyed by another truck. Men are on ground for evacuation.”
On October 3 and 8, a containerised truck and a trailer respectively destroyed height restriction barriers at Ojuelegba in Lagos State.
Similarly, an empty tanker also reportedly destroyed a newly constructed truck barrier at the tip of Dormanlong Bridge inward Ojuelegba on Christmas eve.
The Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, in a statement on December 23, said the Lagos State government has vowed to prosecute drivers who destroy truck barriers mounted in various locations of the state.
