Veteran Nollywood actor, Zack Orji has reportedly slumped and landed in the hospital in critical condition.
Gatekeepers News reports that according to sources close to the actor, he was rushed to the hospital two days ago after collapsing in the toilet following weeks of weakness.
The sources added that he was currently in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit at The National Hospital in Abuja, adding that he cannot walk or talk, and all kinds of tests are being run on him to diagnose the ailment.
As the news circulated, Nollywood stars and well-wishers took to social media to express their concerns and offer prayers.
Actress Uche Ogbodo pleaded, “God pls heal him. Amen. 🙏🏽”. Shan George joined in, saying, “Prayers up sir 😢🙌,” while Woli Arole sought divine intervention, commenting, “God’s mercies in Jesus name.”
Joyce Kalu covered him with prayers, writing, “I cover him with the blood 🩸 of Jesus,” and others echoed similar sentiments.
The entertainment industry faces a challenging period as several actors, including Mr. Ibu, have battled health issues recently.
John Okafor popularly known as Mr. Ibu underwent a leg amputation due to an illness, and Amaechi Muonagor is confronting kidney disease, diabetes, and stroke.
His cousin, Tony Muonagor, revealed this stating that the actor is undergoing weekly dialysis and other treatments at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.
