Fuad Kayode-Laguda has been declared winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary for the Surulere 1 seat at the house of representatives.
Gatekeepers News reports that Laguda is set to replace Femi Gbajabiamila, the former speaker of the house, who represented the Lagos constituency before his appointment as Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Bola Tinubu.
In the election, which held at the Teslim Balogun stadium, on Saturday, Laguda defeated other contestants to clinch the party ticket for the forthcoming election in the constituency.
The nationwide by-election into vacant seats is scheduled for February 3.
