National Judicial Council (NJC) has issued a statement denying reports that the 11 recently appointed Supreme Court Justices will be sworn in on January 16th, 2023.
Gatekeepers News reports that according to the NJC, the news informing the public about the purported swearing-in date of the new apex court justices did not originate from the Council or the Office of the Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the National Judicial Council, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, GCON.
The NJC spokesman, Soji Oye, further stated that the actual date for the swearing-in of the Justices will be made public when the time is right.
He urged the public to ignore the trending news about the January 16th date as it is fake information.
