JUST IN: {VIDEOS} Panic As Explosion Rocks Ibadan

A mysterious explosion has rocked Ibadan, capital city of Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria on Tuesday night.

Gatekeepers News reports the incident happened at about 7 pm, affecting houses and buildings in Old Bodija, University of Ibadan and other parts of the state.

Ekene Okechukwu, a resident of Old Bodija, who claimed to be in his house when he heard the explosion said, “It sounded like a bomb. Part of my roof shattered, the windows shattered and the roads became cloudy.

“We could not see anything. It sounded like a large bomb.”

Someone in Akobo said the impact blew all her doors open, while another in Aare/Awolowo area said the roof felt the impact but there was no major damage to the house.

Similarly students of University of Ibadan lamented that their rooms were affected.

Security agents on scene are yet to confirm the source of the explosion or the casualty toll.
