Nigeria Defeats Cameroon- Reaches AFCON Quarterfinals

Nigeria’s Super Eagles, on  Saturday night, defeated the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon 2-0 to reach the Quarterfinals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Gatekeepers News reports that Ademola Lookman scored two goals to secure a victory for Nigeria.

His first goal was scored in the 36th minute, giving the West African giants a stronger position going into halftime.

In the second half, the Super Eagles continued to push forward and didn’t give the Lions of Cameroon any breathing space.

Finally, in the 90th minute, they scored the winning goal to secure the victory.

Nigeria will now face Angola in the Quarter Finals of the competition on Friday at 6:00 pm.
