Lagos state Governor, Southwest Nigeria Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced a 25 per cent rebate on fares for government-owned transport schemes.
Gatekeepers News reports that Sanwo-Olu made the announcement during a live media chat, ‘Sanwo Speaks’, to intimate residents on steps being taken to reduce the economic burden on Lagosians.
He also announced that civil servants from level 1-14 will begin to work three days a week as part of measures to ease the economic challenges on residents.
He said workers in the teaching sector will however maintain the five days a week work schedule but government will ensure additional transport support for them.
This is a developing story.
