Manager – OD and Employee Engagement

Job Specifications:

    • Full Time
  • Required Qualifications: BA/BSC/HND
  • Location: Lagos | Nigeria.

Job Description:

Support preserve the culture of Bayobab and the organizational development of the company in light of the company’s overall vision and mission and HR strategic priorities; through boosting employee engagement via ad-hoc surveys and setting improvement and change management action plans. The development of employee recognition initiatives and effective internal communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities/outputs of the position (KPA’s)

Engagement and Culture

    • Support develop and implement organization-wide strategies and initiatives to improve employee engagement, performance, and overall organizational effectiveness.
    • Support to plan and facilitate GCA roadshows in collaboration with the culture champions in the divisions.
    • Provide support for change management and other employee activities or events.
    • Conduct GCA Group Culture Audit and Sentimeter surveys, analyse results, research and feedback.
  • Prepare action plans to improve GCA participation and results in order to boost employee engagement.

Internal Communication:

  • Support in managing the HR Communication channels, official emails, WhatsApp, and other communication platforms.
  • Develop communication initiatives to keep employees informed and engaged.

Organization architecture

  • Ensure that all Organizational Design databases e.g. structure, org. chart are kept up to date and relevant to the business.
  • Optimize naming and titles in the corporation through the naming convention approach applied in the group.
  • Make sure all job profiles are available and approved.

Employee Recognition

  • Develop employee recognition initiatives.
  • Support in planning annual employee recognition events.
  • Manage the employee recognition platform – Kudos Platform

Role Deliverables

  • GCA and Sentimeter scores.
  • Effective communication channels/ initiatives.
  • HR JDs and PPPs in place, up to date and duly approved.
  • Employee Recognition Initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-year bachelor’s degree in organizational development, human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • A master’s degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • Manager track record of 5 years in Human Resources, Organisational Development; with at least 3 years in the Telecom industry.
  • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies
