Easter: Obaseki Urges Hope and Resilience Amid Economic Challenges

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has called on Christians to reflect on the essence of Easter and maintain hope and resilience in the face of economic challenges.

Gatekeepers News reports that in his Easter message commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Governor Obaseki emphasized the need for reflection, love, sacrifice, renewal, and hope during this season.

He urged everyone to contemplate the lessons and significance of Easter, recommitting to a more progressive and prosperous Nigeria.

Acknowledging the strain caused by the high cost of living and other economic difficulties, Governor Obaseki encouraged unity to overcome these challenges and steer the country towards sustainable growth and development.

He stressed the importance of resilience, urging people to use the Easter period to seek God’s guidance, share joy with neighbors, and work towards a peaceful and progressive nation.

“I heartily felicitate with our Christian faithful as we commemorate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Easter is a time for reflection, love, sacrifice, renewal and hope.  I urge that we use this opportunity to ponder on the lessons and purpose of the celebration and renew our resolve towards achieving a more progressive and prosperous Nigeria.

“As a people, we may have been stretched beyond limits occasioned by the high cost of living and other economic headwinds, but we must not lose hope. Working together in unity, we can overcome these challenges and place our country on the path of sustainable growth and development.

“We must remain resilient and use the period of the celebration to seek the face of God, share our joy with neighbours and work towards a peaceful and progressive nation.

“I wish you all a celebration filled with joy, peace and love.”
