Head, Account & Finance

Job Specifications:

- Full Time

Required Qualifications: BA/BSC/HND
Location: Lagos | Nigeria.

Job Description:

- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the finance and general services functions, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives and growth strategy.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities, driving efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial management processes.
- Manage the company’s accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Lead the development and implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

Direct tax planning and compliance efforts, working closely with external advisors and tax authorities to optimize tax efficiency and minimize risk.
Drive cost accounting initiatives to analyze and optimize the company’s cost structure, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Chair the finance committee and prepare regular management reports; also provide insights to the board of directors, advising on strategic financial decisions and risk management issues.
Collaborate with other functional leaders to develop and execute business growth initiatives, leveraging financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
Mentor and develop finance and general services staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Develop a deep understanding of the company’s value chain, identifying opportunities to enhance value creation and drive sustainable growth.

Qualifications and Requirements:

A minimum of 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other related discipline
Must be ACCA / ACA qualified
Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.

Demonstrable Skills:

- High integrity
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership qualities

Ability to multitask and work across different businesses covering different sectors.
