Federal Government of Nigeria has announced Tuesday, April 9, and Wednesday, April 10, 2024 as public holidays to mark Eid al-Fitr.
Gatekeepers News reports that this was disclosed in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Aishetu Gogo Ndayako for the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government.
In the statement, the Minister congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
He called on Muslims to imbibe and practice the virtues of kindness, love, tolerance, peace, good neighborliness and compassion as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
