A yet to be identified woman suffering from mental illness was in the early hours of Sunday, April 7 delivered of a bouncing baby girl that was said to weigh 3.8kg in the Ugbor Area of Benin City, the Edo State capital.
Gatekeepers News reports that according to Liberator Margaret Quist-Igumah, Chairperson, Standup for Women Society, Edo State, the woman squeezed herself through the opening under the gate of her residence in Ugbor in Benin City where she lay down and delivered the baby half way before residents ran to her rescue.

The SWS Edo State boss however noted that the placenta could not drop until she rallied the help of medical health workers from both BIU Health Centre and the Rural Health Initiative for Improved Living (Rhifil) who immediately took the woman and her baby to the Rhifil clinic.
