Gatekeepers News reports that Salmat is the founder and president of the Mayasalis Entrepreneurship and Vocational Empowerment Foundation (MEVEF), and is a humanitarian, scientific researcher, and serial entrepreneur from Edo State.
The Association of Disaster Managers without Borders presented the award to Salmat in recognition of her efforts towards disaster management and safety awareness in Nigeria.
She plans to use her position as an ambassador to launch campaigns that will help equip citizens with the necessary knowledge to manage disasters and emergencies.
Salmat emphasized the importance of being prepared for natural disasters and emergencies, and urged responsible citizens to support those affected by such disasters.
She expressed her gratitude to the Institute of Disaster Management and Safety Science Nigeria for the recognition, and thanked her manager, Muhammed Ibn Saheeb, her parents, siblings, the entire MEVEF team, the register of the institute DR. Edwin Ochagwuba, and various organizations working towards the betterment of people during times of crisis.
Due to a business conference that started on April 22nd, Salmat was unable to attend the award ceremony.
However, she accepted the award via Zoom and sent her thanks and acceptance to the organizers. Her manager received the award on her behalf.
