Nigerian singer, D’banj, has finally released his much-awaited song titled ‘Since ’04’, which is now available to stream across various platforms.
Gatekeepers News reports that the song serves as a tribute to his music career that has spanned over two decades.
In addition, D’banj has also paid homage to his former Mo’ Hits Records labelmates, which he founded alongside music producer Don Jazzy in 2006.
“Bad Boys since 04 I don’t know if you know/ I don’t care if you notice/ Ègbé ìṣù kọ́ni yàn/ Light up if you notice/ Mo’ Hits dem know this/ Bless the OGs/ I dey ball I dey throw cheese/ Dem dey do like sey dem dey pray make I no miss/ I be ọmọ ọgbọ́n wọn ń kọ́ni je bí ìyàn,” he sings in a mixture of Yoruba and English.
“24/7 me I still dey hustle for my raba/ We go still dey count/ What God cannot do/ Mio ni le gba ó/”
Recently, the Koko Master has tendered an apology to his former labelmates and shared pictures of himself relaxing with Don Jazzy.
On April 12, he announced a partnership with The Temple Company, an entertainment powerhouse, to celebrate his 20th anniversary in the creative industry.
