National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has presented 1,312 metric tonnes of assorted food commodities to the Kaduna State Government for distribution to vulnerable persons in the state.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Director-General NEMA, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, indicated that the food items which included maize, millet, sorghum, and garri where handed over to Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna State.
This initiative, part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aims to alleviate the effects of high food costs amid the economic downturn. The distribution process will be managed by committees in each of the state’s 23 Local Government Areas to ensure transparency and fairness.
