Air Peace Debunks Safety Violation Claims – Clarifies UK Inspection Report

Air Peace has responded to media reports alleging safety breaches during a recent inspection by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Gatekeepers News reports that the airline stated that the reports are exaggerated and sensationalized, and that the issues raised have been resolved without any issues.

According to the airline’s spokesperson, Stanley Olisa, the UK CAA conducted a routine Ramp Inspection on April 7, 2024, and requested clarification on Air Peace’s use of the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) and other concerns. He said the airline provided the necessary information, and the matter was resolved.

Air Peace also addressed specific concerns raised by the UK CAA, including the use of iPad mounts and charging ports in the flight deck, the location of the cockpit library, and the captain’s choice of runway exit after landing.

The airline stated that it has taken steps to address these issues and ensure full compliance with safety standards.

Olisa emphasized that Air Peace prioritizes safety and has a robust operational mechanism to guarantee compliance with established safety standards.

He expressed surprise at the media’s sensationalized reporting of the matter, which he said was closed with the authorities over a month ago.
