Court Orders Abba Kyari To Enter Defence In Drug Trafficking Trial
An Abuja Federal High Court has granted former Commander of Force Intelligence Response Team, DCP Abba Kyari, a two-week bail to allow him to complete his mother’s burial rites.

Gatekeepers News reports that Kyari, who is facing trial for drug-related charges filed by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), was arrested on February 14, 2022.

The court set Friday, May 31, for the determination of his bail application.

Kyari’s legal team had requested the court to grant him bail to allow him to bury his mother, who recently passed away.

The court’s decision takes into account Kyari’s need to fulfill his family responsibilities while also ensuring that he will return to face the charges against him.
