Passengers Panic As Abuja-Kaduna Train Derails

Train traveling from Kaduna to Abuja has derailed near the Jeje Area of Kaduna state on Sunday, leaving passengers stranded.

Gatekeepers News reports that Shehu Sani, who once represented Kaduna North in the Senate posted the development on his official X account.

He said, “a minor Abuja, Kaduna morning train derail near Jere but engineers are attending to it.”

Although the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), sources say that the problem would be fixed promptly.

Sani therefore, called on the NRC to quickly ensure the safety and security of the stranded passengers of the train.

He added “Kaduna Abuja Train derails; NRC please ensure the security and safety of the stranded passengers.”

This incident marks the second derailment on the Kaduna-Abuja road in just over a year as the Senator also announced a similar incident last year.
