The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have insisted on going ahead with the nationwide strike planned for June 3.
Gatekeepers News reports that Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the house of representatives, Tajudeen Abass conveyed a last-minute meeting on Sunday to avert the proposed indefinite strike by organised labour over the minimum wage and electricity tariff hike.
In a terse message posted on its X handle late Sunday, the NLC said “Strike Action Goes on, A living wage is Possible”.
