Lagos Airport To Experience Power Outage On Wednesday

Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced that the International Terminal 2 of the Lagos Airport will on Wednesday, experience a power outage for an hour.

Gatekeepers News reports that FAAN made the announcement through a statement released by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Obiageli Orah, on Tuesday.

The airport managers said that the development is for maintenance which is to be done in order to detect urgent issues from the high tension.

The statement goes, “This is as a result of the urgent need to verify the issues affecting the Bus Riser 11KVA high tension (HT) panel on the ground floor, North of the International Terminal 2 ( ITZ-2) of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.”

FAAN further promised that it will ensure the shutdown of power supply “is with very minimal disruption to flight operations and passenger facilitation.”

According to the director, the power outage will minimally affect the operations of RwandAir, Egypt Air and Qatar Air for one hour.

The statement added “All intending passengers on these flights should please take note.”

“The authority regrets any inconveniences the development might cause to stakeholders and the travelling public.”

“We are committed to world-class safety standards and service to all airport users.”
