Meet Francis Agoha – IBEDC’s New Managing Director

Francis Agoha, a seasoned energy and power industry expert, has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), succeeding Kinsley Achife, whose contract was not renewed by the board of directors, as reported by Gatekeepers News. With over 20 years of experience in the energy and power industry, Agoha brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. His extensive background includes power generation, distribution, plant management, operations, and maintenance. He has worked with various international companies, including General Electric International Operations Nigeria, Transcorp Power Limited, and Sahara Power Group. As the former Chief Technical Officer at IBEDC, Agoha oversaw the development and implementation of the company's technical operations strategies. He also coordinated the maintenance and operations of IBEDC's technical assets across five regions, covering seven states. Agoha's expertise includes power systems engineering, power plant management, business development, and rotating machinery management. He is a fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers and a corporate member of the Nigeria Institute of Power Engineers and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). Agoha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Power Systems Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. Under Agoha's leadership, IBEDC is expected to benefit from his wealth of experience and technical expertise, ensuring improved service delivery and enhanced customer satisfaction.
