The Director, Corporate Communication of the service, Alhaji Sada Shu’aibu made the announcement during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Thursday in Katsina.
Shu’aibu said the measure was necessary for centralising tax payment and administration to enhance revenue generation.
According to the director, the system will enable taxpayers to register with the service, know their tax status, and pay directly to the government’s account.
He said, “With the new system, tax payers can register, calculate and also pay their dues at their convenience through their mobile phones or laptops.”
“The aim is to block leakages in revenue generation to enable the government to execute projects that have direct impact on the people.”
Shu’aibu thereafter urged taxpayers to download the App to ease transactions because all revenue-generating agencies are in sync on the platform.
