Gatekeepers News reports that Ajayi had accused Lamuwa of making s3xual advances, which he denied, claiming she requested him to pay her bills during an overseas trip.
The ICPC’s invitation, dated June 11, requests Ajayi’s presence at its Abuja headquarters on June 14 for an interview.
The letter, signed by S. Yahaya, acting director of information, states that the commission is investigating an alleged violation of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.
The letter reads, “In view of the above, pursuant to section 28 and 40 of the said Act, you are kindly requested to release and direct Mrs Simisola Fajemirokun Ajayi of the ministry to appear for an interview…on Friday 14th June, 2024 at 1100 hours.”
The ICPC’s investigation follows a letter from Yusuf Tuggar, minister of foreign affairs, to Folasade Yemi-Esan, head of service of the federation, notifying her of the allegations against Lamuwa.
Ajayi’s lawyer, Femi Falana, had informed Tuggar of the alleged s3xual harassment.
