President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians to use the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration to pray for the peace and stability of the country.
Gatekeepers News reports that the President said this through a statement released by presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale on Saturday.
Tinubu urged the muslim faithfuls to reflect on the essence of the celebration, which according to him bears strong meaning and significance for the country.
Congratulating Muslims in the country for the celebration, the president noted that sacrifice and duty are essential ingredients of nation-building.
Tinubu added that it takes collective purpose and will to bring about great change in the country.
The president further commended Nigerians for their sacrifices in the past one year as his administration sets the nation on a firm pedestal of growth and development.
According to Tinubu, the sacrifices “will not come to nought as already propitious outcomes are beginning to manifest with the economy strengthening”.
Recall that Tinubu, through a statement released on Friday declared Monday and Tuesday as public holiday to celebrate Eid-el-Adha.
