Osinbajo Urges Church To Question Politicians' Source Of Wealth
Former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has challenged the church to scrutinise the source of wealth of politicians who make donations to support evangelism.

Gatekeepers News reports that Osinbajo spoke at the inaugural lecture in honor of the late senior pastor of Fountain Life Church, Taiwo Odukoya, held at the Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The lecture, titled “Strengthening the Christian voice in government or public office,” emphasised the need for Christians in public service to be equipped with good values and principles of the gospel.

Osinbajo asked, “How often do those who receive money from politicians and from other sources ask the source of the money?”

He added, “The question is not how many Christians are in government, business, or professions? The question is, what are they equipped with?”

Ben Akabueze, Director-General of the Budget Office of the Federation, delivered the lecture and emphasized the need for Christians in power to uphold good tenets. He encouraged Christians to engage with respect and understanding towards other faiths and to demonstrate humility and willingness to seek forgiveness when they make mistakes.

Tolu Odukoya, Associate Senior Pastor of the church, said the lecture would carry on the legacy of empowerment of her late father. The event marked the beginning of a significant tradition in the church, a tribute to the founding father of the Fountain of Life Church.
