A student of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, Modupe Ayandare was on Monday morning found dead in Akungba, Akoko South West LGA of the state.
Gatekeepers News reports that the deceased was a female student of the Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture. She was in her final year, 500 level.
Ayandare was found hanging beside the church she attended for a vigil, which is located off the campus of the state-owned institution around 4:00 am on Monday. She was wearing a white garment of church cloth.
The Public Relations Officer of the institution’s Students Union Government (SUG), Noble Olaogbebikan, through a statement, said all hands were on deck to unravel the cause of the tragic incident.
He said “The law enforcement agency has been informed already and all hands are on deck in getting to the root of the situation. Rest assured that justice will be served and the law enforcement agency will do a thorough investigation.”

The State’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, also confirmed the incident.
Odunlami-Omisanya noted that the Command was working towards unravelling the cause of the final-year student’s death.
