A young man whose identity is yet to be known was on Friday electrocuted close to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) center in Otukpo, Otukpo LGA, Benue state.
Gatekeepers News reports that the incident occurred before the Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) restored power.
The young man was vandalizing a transformer on a high-tension pole when he was electrocuted.
The deceased’s body was found hanging from a high-tension pole, with a lot of onlookers gathering around it.
Electricity distribution workers were still removing the deceased suspect’s body from the electric pole as of the time of filing this report.
An eyewitness said, “We came this morning and found the body suspended from the electric pole at a transformer with tools in his hand.”
