Tanker Crushes Commercial Motorcyclist To Death

A water-laden tanker on Wednesday crushed a commercial motorcyclist named Edward Bamidele to death in Insdan, Oyo State.

Gatekeepers News reports that the accident occurred around 7:30 am at Alesinloye Market Road, close to Iyaganku Police Area Command.

The commercial motorcyclist who was attempting to overtake the tanker lost control and fell, he was then rammed into by the tanker which led to his death.

The passenger the motorcyclist was conveying during the incident however escaped unhurt as he jumped off the motorcycle.

Operatives of Nigerian Police, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA), and other relevant agencies were prompt in their response to ensure orderliness at the scene of the accident as well as traffic management.

The body of the deceased has been moved to the State Hospital, Adeoyo mortuary.

The driver of the tanker which was without registration escaped from the scene before the arrival of law enforcement agents.
