National electricity grid has yet again, collapsed, leading to a nationwide blackout.
Gatekeepers News reports that Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) confirmed the blackout through a statement released on Saturday.
AEDC noted that the power outage is due to a system failure from the national grid.
It said, “Please be informed that the power outage being experienced is due to a system failure from the national grid at 3:10 pm today, affecting the power supply to our franchise areas.”
The DisCo added that it is working with relevant stakeholders to restore power as soon as the grid is stabilised.
Recall that the national electricity grid had on February 4, March 28, and April 14 collapsed, leaving the country in a blackout.
