Labour Party Suspends Hilda Dokubo Over ‘Financial Misconduct’
Nigerian actress Hilda Dokubo has recently been suspended as a member of the Labour Party at her ward in Asari Toru local government area (LGA) of Rivers state.

Gatekeepers News reports that the suspension followed an emergency meeting held by the party’s ward executive committee on July 15, which resulted in accusations of financial misconduct, abuse of office, and breach of party regulations among other allegations. Dokubo, the LP’s chairperson in Rivers, was suspended on Thursday.

Her suspension was disclosed in a letter addressed to the LP chairman of Asari Toru and signed by the ward chairman Ajalamonia Ibama, Lole Amacheer, the secretary; and Emmanuel Ibamathe, the treasurer; Osaki Dieypiriye, the women leader, and Osaki Dokubo, the publicity secretary.

The decision, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), was made after a thorough investigation into the allegations against the 54-year-old actress, with the ward executives presenting substantial evidence to support their claims.
