Police operatives, on Saturday, fired tear gas at protesters who returned to MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja, as the #EndBadGovernance protest.
Gatekeepers News reports that the protesters were gathered outside the stadium to deliberate on the third day’s procession when fumes from the canisters came pouring in.
Recall that since the beginning of the protest on August 1, Police have been trying to restrict the protesting youths to main bowl of the stadium, citing a court order.
Lagos Police were able to confine the protesters to Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota after heated debates between them and the protesters.
Since the beginning of the protest, more than fourteen people have been killed, properties looted and destroyed across the country.
