Team Nigeria will on Saturday, participate in its first final at 2024 Paris Olympics.
Gatekeepers News reports that the country’s representative, Chukwuebuka Enekwechi, 31, will win a medal, if he emerges as one of the winners when he competes in men’s shot put final at Stade de France.
He got into final after throwing 21.13m in the second qualifying group on Friday.
Although his mark was below qualification standard of 21.35m, he progressed with ninth-best throw in final qualification list.
Enekwechi will be competing in the final at 6:35 pm.
Another representative, Rosemary Chukwuma, 23, will also run in women’s 100m semi-final later in the day.
